The Castell de Morella is a fortress located at the top of the town of Morella, with origins dating back to the third millennium BC. The castle of Moorish origin was rebuilt in the 13th century and was an important defensive position during the wars between kingdoms. The fortification dominates a mountainous landscape and has been one of the most important fortresses of the Mediterranean, being a passage of multiple civilizations throughout history.
