Parish church
Known as the Church of the Capuchins, on Ronda Magdalena
The parish church of the Sagrada Familia is located on the Ronda de la Magdalena, in Castellón de la Plana, in the comarca of the Plana Alta. It is popularly known as the "iglesia de los Capuchinos" (Church of the Capuchins), a name that refers to the religious order historically linked to its foundation and to its pastoral management in the city.
The building is listed as a property of local interest. Its location on the Ronda de la Magdalena gives it a prominent position within the urban fabric, in an environment with a strong devotional tradition linked to the Magdalena festivities.
Architecturally, the church follows the patterns of twentieth-century religious architecture in the Valencian Community, with the formal sobriety characteristic of churches built or reformed in that period.
The parish maintains an active community, with Masses on both weekdays and holy days of obligation, and Catholic Action groups and other religious associations that hold regular meetings on its premises. The church opens from 8:30 to 13:00 and from 17:00 to 20:45 on ordinary days, and from 8:30 to 13:45 and at 19:00 on holidays. It belongs to the Diocese of Segorbe-Castellón.
