El Menador Espai Cultural is a cultural centre located at Plaza Hort dels Corders, 4, in the heart of Castellón de la Plana. The building housed the provincial finance delegation for decades until the service was relocated to a new premises in 2006, after which it began its transformation into a space for cultural and civic use.

The project is the result of collaboration between Universitat Jaume I and the Castelló Town Council, which jointly manage the space. Its name, «menador», refers in Valencian to a passage space or corridor, evoking the idea of a place of transit and encounter between different disciplines and audiences.

The building functions as a multipurpose container for culture, education, youth and coexistence. It hosts temporary exhibitions, talks, workshops and activities aimed at all audiences, with a marked social and educational character. It is integrated into the network of the Consorci de Museus de la Comunitat Valenciana.

The usual opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 to 20:00, closed on 25 December and 1 January. Admission is free. Its central location makes it an accessible landmark for residents and visitors to the city.

El Menador stands out for its commitment to connecting contemporary cultural production with citizens, combining proposals from Universitat Jaume I with municipal initiatives and the local cultural sector.
